Homemade Pizza Sauce|how to make pizza sauce at home

 


Homemade Pizza Sauce 


Preparation Time: 10 minutes 

Cooking Time: 20 minutes 

Servings: Approximately 2 cups


Ingredients:

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes or if you prefer using fresh tomatoes, use 6-8 ripe tomatoes, chopped


Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir well. Add dried oregano, dried basil, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.


Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Allow the sauce to cool before using it on your pizza.

Spread the sauce over your pizza dough, add your favorite toppings, and bake according to your pizza recipe.

Use high-quality crushed tomatoes for better flavor.

Adjust the garlic and herbs to suit your taste preferences.

Allow the sauce to simmer for a richer flavor.
